People usually pose the question,” Do you have any guilt about being sick” expecting an answer along the lines of “Yeah, when I’m a burden to others” or “Yes, when I can’t participate in events”.  Both are good responses. But no one ever expects to hear, “Yes, I feel guilty that I’m alive”. Sis, what?? Their mind is blown. Next topic please!

When misfortune finds us, oh, it finds us. It’s as if one misfortune gives our address to other misfortunes and they all come on a little train, one right after the other. These phases of life are not meant to last or break us. They are a call for us to rise and become our strongest authentic self. (That’s at least how I view it anyway.)

My pregnancy was something feared by my family before it ever came into fruition. For those that don’t know, I have a chronic disease. I’ve battled with it since 3 months old. So pregnancy was automatically high risk. (One in three Sicklers can die during childbirth.)

In this era where self-introspection is a common thing (apparently a result of the how the stars/planets/galaxies are currently aligned) it’s sometimes hard to distinguish who is actually making moves to regain their powers and set their world on fire.

I haven’t blogged since September. I didn’t release my book in December 2017 like I planned. So, what the hell is happening? Even more embarrassing is that I started writing this blog in January and didn’t pick it up again until February 18.

One reason people do not answer their calling is because “It looks too hard”. Well, it doesn’t just look that way, it is. But answering your calling is a sweet little abandoned kitten in comparison to living a life that you know is not meant for you.

If Life Coaches, Therapists and Mentors got into a wrestling match, who would win?

Wouldn’t that be an interesting match! I suppose they would fight over whose clients are better, who has the best methods and whose “eye of the tiger” goals are more beneficial. In the end, they all may just win, but let’s compare them in each of those categories just in case one is screaming bloody murder.
