Firstly, metanoia is pronounced ‘meta-noya’. It means to have profound thought which brings about a rebirth. Metanoia is a word which describes a fundamental way of growing.
We’re usually faced with two options in deal with situations. One, we choose to ignore thoughts and feelings impacting us. We ignore them in hopes to push through to the other side without having to acknowledge them. Sometimes it’s the hope we’ll be less impacted this way. We hope to exert less energy dealing with them and or avoid any outcomes processing them may bring-about. Certain ignored thoughts and feelings can take us into the dark side. Be careful.
The second option is to face our thoughts and feelings head on and process all that comes from them. This is the most certain way to get to the other side in a healthy, progress prompting way.
We must process the thoughts and feelings that come. If we don’t, our inner makeup becomes a chaotic environment. If we process correctly, we can stumble upon a new profound outlook on life (Metanoia).
At times we like to pretend (or actually believe) we never change. “Keeping it real” is important so we never want to seem hypocritical. If you have stood by your beliefs from young and never switched them up, you’re either fooling yourself or had a bomb foundation to build upon.
Don’t stay align to certain beliefs simply because you’d be “switching up” on people if you changed. There’s no benefit in sidestepping your growth to appease others.
I fell in love with the word Metanoia after I had some rebirth of my own. I have a love for a process which brings healing to many. To know that our mistakes and previous thoughts do not have to hold us captive, but can be our path to freedom and improvement. Turning pain into power gives me great joy and without embracing the process of metanoia, I would not successfully be able to do so.
Yes, flowers can grow through concrete. In this instance, I say, if we can toil and water the area around the flower why not? Why not promote growth? Growth keeps our soul alive.
It’s a great hope of mine that everyone take their thoughts/past captive and use them as power. To be fearless of delving in the deep end with our inner self. To work with our inner self to reach our highest self. To gain or regain our power from ourselves. Hence, Metanoia Power.
Invest in yourself. Get the best of yourself!
